UMass Extension
UMass Amherst offers a Greenhouse Crops and Floriculture program, and MFGA works closely with the University’s experts to identify and address issues that affect greenhouse growers and garden centers. We turn to UMass for assistance in research and analysis of technical and non-technical issues.
UMass Extension’s Landscape, Nursery and Urban Forestry Program has a website that provides extensive information on better management practices (BMPs), pesticides, and many other subjects that are important to your operation.
Also at the UMass website, you can find the Pest Management Guide. It is the most comprehensive, science-based information about insects, diseases, and weeds for greenhouse growing in New England.
Click here if you are new to the industry or just want to review some basics on greenhouse topics.
